However, he allegedly kidnapped her and took her to Indore where she was held confined in a house for two days. On October 31, he took her to Alwar and “sold her” to Rohitash and Bholaram for Rs 2 lakh. According to Chouhan, the survivor alleged that she forced to sign some papers that said she was marrying Bholaram, who is deaf and mute since birth.

She says she saw the money exchange hands between Rohitash and Subhash. The Yadavs took her to their house in Majra Ahir village, where she was locked in a room and Bholaram began raping her, says the complaint.

The woman’s family, meanwhile, was frantically looking for her. Her brother filed a complaint with Nishatpura police on November 11, saying that she hadn’t come back after going to meet someone who had offered him a well-paying job in an Indore hostel. Her phone was switched off but police kept it under surveillance and got lucky when it was switched on a couple of days ago, say sources. A police team raided the house and rescued her on November 23. Chouhan said Bholaram and Rohitash have been arrested and police are looking for Subhash.
