US consulate’s dy cultural attache visits TT Stadium

Bhopal: Sita Raiter, deputy cultural attaché at the US Consulate General in Mumbai, visited Tatya Tope Stadium to review the sports facilities and infrastructure of MP's sports academies. During the visit, Sita Raiter interacted with renowned athletes of the state, including Paris Paralympic medalist Kapil Parmar, two-time Paralympian Prachi Yadav, Deaflympics gold medalist Gauranshi Sharma, and international athletes Kanishka Sharma and Manish Kaurav. In total, she met 30 female and para-athletes and was informed about their achievements. Assistant director of sports and youth welfare, Vikas Kharadkar, provided her with a detailed presentation on the state's sports ecosystem. It is noteworthy that Kharadkar was honoured with the prestigious Prime Minister's Award in 2015.Raiter toured the wrestling, boxing, fencing, and judo halls, as well as the Sports Science Center. Raiter praised the support and resources provided by MP govt for sports development and athlete training. The visit was attended by joint director of sports B.S. Yadav, assistant director Kharadkar, Shipra Shrivastava, and several female and para-athletes. Raiter's visit is being seen as a significant step in fostering cultural and sports exchange between the state and international entities.
