Bhopal: Three youths, including a tractor driver, were killed after a sand-laden tractor-trolley overturned near Murum Ghat Hanuman temple in the Damua area of Chhindwara early on Monday. Police said the victims were trapped under the vehicle and the sand-filled trolley after the tractor lost balance and overturned.
According to police, the tractor was driven by 23-year-old Ranju Uikey of Brajpura village when the accident occurred. Two other youths travelling with him — Umesh Dhurve, 23, a resident of Semarkuhi and Mohan Watti, 26, also from Brajpura — were buried under the sand after the trolley overturned.
"The accident took place at around 3 am on Monday. All three who were on board the trolley, including the driver, died. A case was registered and we initiated our probe," Damua police station incharge Pramod Sirsam told TOI.
