BHOPAL: The temperature remained close to normal mark in Bhopal and other places of the state on Friday. With the peak of heat getting over, the day temperatures at most places came down to around 40 degrees mark.

Officials of the meteorological department, Bhopal circle said there was western disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir. An induced cyclone was over Punjab and neighborhood and a cyclonic circulation was over south-west Rajasthan. It may lead to showers in parts of the state.

Day temperature in Bhopal on Friday was recorded at 39.9 degrees Celsius, a degree less than normal mark, while night temperature in the city was 26.4 degrees Celsius, a degree less than the normal mark.

The westerly winds blew at 18 km per hour speed. Between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm, Sagar recorded 8.0 mm rain. Day temperature in Khajuraho and Khandwa was recorded at 41.5 degrees Celsius.

In the forecast for Bhopal on Saturday the meteorological officials said, there would be cloudy sky, but mainly dry weather will prevail in the city. Day and night temperature will be respectively 39 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius while average wind speed will be 16 kmph.
