STF clears constable, books ex-mayor Sahu

A Special Task Force (STF) constituted by a division bench of the MP HC has concluded its probe into a traffic dispute involving former Jabalpur mayor Prabhat Sahu and a traffic constable, stating in its report that the case against the constable has been closed and FIRs have instead been registered against Sahu and four of his supporters. The case stemmed from a PIL alleging that the constable was initially booked and suspended after stopping Sahu for riding without a helmet, despite video evidence of the altercation circulating publicly.
