Shivraj reviews Jal Jeevan mission work
Bhopal: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Monday that Jal Jeevan Mission is an ambitious scheme. This mission, which will be implemented with the resources of the central and state governments, will ensure the availability of tap water in every household.Chouhan was conducting a state-level review of ongoing works under the mission. All the districts participated virtually in the meeting.He said that successful implementation of the scheme is the collective responsibility of all public representatives, officials and employees concerned. Water sources should be identified in such a way that continuous water supply can be ensured in the summer season, he said.The restoration work of excavation done for laying the pipeline in the mission should be completed immediately on priority. Chouhan said that the districts should prepare a roadmap for their works and fix week-wise targets, speed up the work, and get the works completed by June-July on priority. In the first session of the meeting, CM Chouhan did a district-wise review of the Indore and Ujjain divisions.Chief minister said that the payment of those whose works are substandard and late must be stopped.
