Bhopal: A mobile snatching incident has once again been reported from the Habibganj area, wherein a scooter-borne two unidentified miscreants fled after snatching a phone from a youth near 6 No. Market.
Police said that an FIR was registered 11 days after the incident on Monday, and a probe has been initiated. However, the accused could not be identified as CCTV footage from the area was found to be blurred.
According to police, Yash Verma, 21, a video editor residing near Nutan College in Shivaji Nagar, was heading towards 6 No. Market to buy milk between 8:45 pm and 9 pm on April 8.
He was talking on his mobile phone near Ankur Playground when two men on a scooter approached him at high speed from the Nutan College side and snatched his phone.
The snatching was carried out so swiftly that the complainant could not note down the vehicle number, and the accused escaped from the spot.
The complainant informed the police immediately after the incident, following which details of the stolen mobile were recorded. However, the FIR was formally registered only on April 20 after he visited the police station again.
