Bhopal: A 22-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by five miscreants outside his house in A-Sector, Damkheda in Kolar on Friday night.
The murder is suspected to have stemmed from an argument over objectionable comments, but it is yet to be determined who made the remarks.
Police said all the accused are habitual offenders and were recently released on bail in an attempt to murder case. Kolar police have registered a murder case. Two of them have been arrested, while the others are absconding.
According to ACP Alok Shrivastava, the deceased, Nikhil Sitole, 22, originally from Indore, lived with his family in Damkheda and worked as a whitewashing contractor. The accused—Govind Malviya, Ashish, Dhannu alias Dhanraj, Jugal and Gannu— reside in the same locality. All of them had earlier been jailed in an attempt to murder case, with Govind securing bail just two days prior to the incident. Police said Nikhil also had a prior assault case registered against him in Indore and was carrying a knife at the time of the incident.
