Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission (MPHRC) on Tuesday has taken note of the absence of basic facilities in a college in Tikamgarh and called for a report from the authorities concerned.
The commission stated it has come to light in the Mohangarh area of Tikamgarh district where students in government college are facing difficulties due to lack of basic facilities.
According to reports, more than 500 students are enrolled in the college, but there is neither a provision for drinking water nor electricity. The laboratory, computer classes, and even toilets remain locked, causing inconvenience to the students.
Taking cognizance of the matter, the commission stated it has sought a report within two weeks from the dist education officer, Tikamgarh, after conducting an inquiry into the issue and the action taken.
