NIFT students to display fashion skills
NIFT students preparing for the show to be held at Campion School
BHOPAL: Come July 27 and Bhopal will get to witness the fusion of traditional and modern weaving techniques. Students of NIFT will showcase changing trend in fashion industry during the annual fashion show Vastra Vinyas. Event is scheduled to be organised at Campion School.
As part of their preparations before the final event, students displayed couple of their work on Monday on the campus.

Students of Fashion Designing and Clothing Technology (FDCT) will be the designers of the show.
Students have worked on around 100 different designs to make fashionable and marketable products out of art and crafts heritage of Madhya Pradesh including Chanderi, Maheshwari, Bagh print and others.
NIFT faculty, Sapna Singh Parmar said the ethnic fabric Chanderi and Maheshwari would be on display. "This time these textiles would be used to make trending pragmatic fashion inspired by global trends as we have never seen these textiles in this form of fashion," said Parmar.
Joint director (Bhopal chapter), Sameer Sood said, "NIFT will collaborate with various e-commerce companies for dresses to be put on sale." Fashion show was to be organised on Monday but it was postponed. Sood said, "Owing to operational delays the event dates were changed."
The show will have various rounds based on themes. First round would feature lounge wear inspired from Chanderi with fusion of traditional and modern weaving techniques. The second round would be a casual wearable collection showcasing the realm of Chanderi inspired by global trends.
The third round would depict the arena of Maheshwari fabric styled with swirls and frills. The fourth round focuses upon the bottom wears inspired from province of Maheshwar and Motifs.
