BHOPAL: Superintendent of a government-run reform house, her husband and a clerk were booked for alleged sexual harassment of female inmates in Shahdol district on Sunday. The clerk posted at the reform house would allegedly force a girl to see an obscene video and the superintendent would take another girl to her house, where the minor was sexually harassed by her husband.
"Based on complaints received by two girls through the district empowerment officer, cases have been registered against clerk, reform house superintendent and her husband," Shahdol SP Sushant Saxena told TOI.
The case is being investigated. Things will get clear only after investigations, Saxena said. On October 7, a minor girl alleged she was forced to watch 'porn' at the reform home. She lodged the police complaint the day she was released from the reform home , police said.
The 15-year-old girl, a resident of
Jabalpur town, was sent to reform home in Shahdol following a complaint against her over a petty issue . The girl, who was lodged in the reform house for two months, was released on October 7. Soon after her release, she went to a police station and lodged a complaint of sexual harassment against a clerk posted at the reform house. The minor alleged the clerk continued to harass her despite she brought the matter to the notice of reform home officials.
The girl said she lodged first complaint with warden. When no action was taken, she took up the matter with a senior official. The girl alleged that she was forced to face harassment, because no one stopped the clerk. Another girl complained reform house superintendent would take her to home, where her husband sexually harassed the minor.
