Married man molests 13-yr-old girl

Bhopal: A 28-year-old man allegedly barged into the house of a 13-year-old girl and molested her on Monday afternoon. When the girl’s parents returned home, she narrated her ordeal to them and the case was reported to police. Police registered a molestation case against the accused under relevant sections of BNS and POCSO Act past midnight on Tuesday and arrested him.

Police said that the 13-year-old girl is a school dropout while her parents work as daily wagers. The family resides on rent in the building while the accused Rajat (Name Changed), 28. resides in the same building. He is a married man. According to complaint, the girl was alone at home on Monday afternoon around 2.30pm when Rajat approached her. On finding her alone, Rajat started misbehaving and molested the minor. As she began to scream, he fled the spot. The terrified girl remained at home till her parents returned in the evening. She narrated the incident after which the family approached police to lodge a complaint.
