Murder and escape
Sharing details of the incident, Gautam Nagar SHO Mahendra Singh Thakur said on Sunday evening, Durga's husband left for Balaghat with a travel bus, while both sons were at work. On Monday afternoon, Pritam took Durga to an under-construction building located in the vicinity of the house and stabbed her repeatedly. He then locked the rear gate and escaped.
Around 3 pm, her son Arun returned home and, after not finding her, went to the construction site with his wife.
