Man dies by suicide
Bhopal: A wholesale vegetable trader allegedly died by suicide in the early hours of Thursday at his home in Janata Colony in Habibganj. The deceased reportedly took the extreme step due to financial distress and pressure from creditors. No suicide note was found at the spot. Habibganj police registered a case and started investigations.According to police, the deceased, Ramzan Qureshi, 35, a resident of Janata Colony in Habibganj, was a wholesale vegetable trader. He lived on the second floor of his three-storey house with his wife and two children, while his father, Ahad Qureshi, lived on the first floor. His younger brother lived on the third floor with his family. Ramzan had dinner with his family before they all retired to bed on Wednesday night. Around 2 am, his wife spotted him hanging in the second-floor veranda. The family rushed him to the hospital, but the doctors declared him dead upon arrival.Police reached the spot after being notified and have registered a case. The family informed the police that Ramzan was deeply troubled by the continuous losses in his business and was unable to recover the money he had lent to others. This financial stress is believed to have driven him to suicide. Further investigations were on.
