Madhya Pradesh: 48-year-old bachelor axes his privates, says God's wish

BHOPAL: In a bizarre incident, a 48-year-old unmarried farmer axed his privates saying ‘God asked him to do so’.
He is battling for his life at a district hospital. Doctors are trying to revive his condition. Incident was reported from Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh.
Police said he went to his farm and severed his genitals and then returned home bleeding on Monday.His family members got panicked. They took him to the hospital where he told doctors that “God came in his dream and asked to offer his genital”. Doctors failed to perform corrective surgery in absence of the severed part. They said it was too late for the family to search for it.
Talking to media at the hospital, farmer said that the dream came around 15 days ago. “I saw an idol in my dream. Gods ordered and I obeyed. I took axe and severed my privates. My family brought me here,” he said.
He however refused to comment when asked why he did not marry. “he said.Doctors said he was mentally stable.
