BHOPAL: Children at Delhi Public School (DPS) dressed up as principal and vice principal and conducted the assembly on Teachers' Day this year. Chief guest Nitin Ambaselkar, CAO, DPS Bhopal-Indore, Ajay K Sharma, principal, DPS Bhopal, Dr Neetu Singh, vice-principal, headmistresses and academic coordinators were present.
The school choir presented a beautiful welcome song.

Class XII students presented a poignant musical skit followed by a band performance headed by President's award winner Akshay Dwivedi and poetry. An inter-house instrumental music competition was also held. The teaching fraternity of DPS was also felicitated by the school.
Kids as teachers: Tiny tots of Jack and Jill Foundation School celebrated Teachers' Day and remembered Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan in a very unique and innovative way. Kids came dressed in their best acting like teachers using the same methods their teachers use and were adjudged based upon their performances.
Grandparents' day at IPS: Blooming Buds, the pre-primary section of International Public School (IPS) celebrated Grandparents' Day on September 7.
Apart from grandparents of students, inmates of the old age home, 'Apna Ghar' were guests of honour. The guests of honour were chairman of the school, Ashok Nanda, vice chairman Alok Nanda and principal P S Kalra. There were melodious songs and foot tapping dances. The elderly enthusiastically participated in games specially organized for them. In his speech, B B Shrivastava, retired IAS, said he was happy that students of IPS imbibed Indian traditions. Blankets were also gifted to the inmates.

BHEL Shiksha Mandal (BSM) celebrated Teachers' Day at BHEL Cultural Hall, Piplani. Shashi Ranjan Prasad, executive director, BHEL, Bhopal was chief guest on the occasion while Neelima Prasad, president BHEL Ladies Club was the guest of honour. All general managers and other senior officials were also present. Prasad, speaking on the occasion exhorted teachers' fraternity to devise a teaching technique which can help students contribute towards growth of the nation.
The best teacher and students of the year were honoured during the programme. 'Sureela Suhana Safar' was also organized as a part of the programme. Teacher's Day was also celebrated recently at BLEW computer centre under the leadership of Neelima Prasad, president, BHEL Ladies Club. The programme began with the recital of Saraswati vandana.
Grandparents honoured at Sprouts: Grandparents' Day was celebrated at Sprouts Pre-school recently with great enthusiasm. Keeping the importance of grandparents in mind, the day was celebrated to make them feel special. Grandparents shared their special experiences and moments which they had with their grandchildren. Kids showed their love towards their grandparents and honoured them.
Victory for Billabong: Students of Billabong High International School (BHIS), won silver and bronze medals in Karate and swimming at the 12th State Karate Championship Federation MP (SKCFI) Championship and MP Board Swimming Championship respectively. Students Jai Sharma of grade VI and Divya Prasad of grade IV won silver and bronze medals respectively. The competition was organized in Indore. Mehak Bajaj of grade VI won the silver medal in 200 meters back stroke in MP Board Swimming Championship organized in Neemuch. Sujata Lakhani, Principal, BHIS congratulated the winners.
