BHOPAL: An injured leopard that was rescued from Narsinghpur in April and brought to Van Vihar National Park here in the state capital has recovered successfully. Forest officials released it at the Ratapani wildlife sanctuary in Raisen district on Wednesday morning.
The leopard was severely injured when it arrived at Van Vihar but after treatment provided by Dr Atul Gupta and supporting staff, it managed to recover fully.
Van Vihar assistant director A K Jain said, "When the leopard arrived here last month, it was in a terrible state. It had sustained considerable injuries. It is an achievement to witness its recovery and we are happy to release it back into nature."
