Bhopal: Top-seeded Hitarth Surana demonstrated exceptional performance by clinching both singles and doubles titles in the All India Under 12 Ranking Talent Series Tennis Tournament in Bhopal on Friday. Whilst Surana partnered with Ruhan Talreja for the doubles victory, Aganya Bhadauria emerged victorious in the girls' category.
The tournament, organised by Shri Krishna Tennis Utthan Samiti, took place at Ace Tennis School, Rajiv Gandhi College Campus, Salaiya.
During the singles final match, Surana displayed tactical brilliance against Vihaan Nawab. His powerful serves and precise baseline shots helped him secure the first set comfortably. The second set witnessed more competitive tennis as Nawab stepped up his game, but Surana's experience prevailed. Surana triumphed over Nawab with a score of 6-2, 6-4.
The doubles final was an exciting affair where Surana and Talreja faced stiff competition from the interstate pair of Dalvi and Koolwal. The first set went down to the wire, requiring a tiebreaker which Surana-Talreja won convincingly.
They found their rhythm in the second set, demonstrating excellent coordination and court coverage. Surana and Talreja prevailed against Maharashtra's Aarish Dalvi and MP's Aarush Koolwal, securing a 7-6 (2), 6-1 victory.
In the girls' category, Bhadoriya showed remarkable composure in her match against Gauri Sharma. Her consistent baseline play and strategic shot selection proved crucial in securing a straight sets victory. Bhadoriya claimed the title by defeating Gauri Sharma 6-4, 6-3.
The prize distribution ceremony was conducted by Devanand Sur and Durga Sur, with tournament director Aditya Sur and referee Ravi Patel in attendance.
