HC dismisses plea challenging 112 vehicle deal

A division bench of MP high court refused to interfere in the process of contract given for 112 emergency police vehicles to a Secunderabad-based company by the state govt, while dismissing a petition filed by a company based at Pune, which had the contract earlier. The bench of chief justice Sanjeev Sachdeva and Justice Vinay Saraf in its brief order on Monday said that there seems to be nothing wrong procedurally in the award of contract and hence the court's interference was not warranted. MP Police Telecommunication Headquarters had awarded Rs 972 crore contract to a Secunderabad-based firm. Pune-based firm said that the contract should be cancelled as the company had used fake papers to get the contract. TNN
