BHOPAL

: Three candidates and two impersonators have been sentenced to 7 years’ rigorous imprisonment in a Vyapam case related to police constable recruitment in 2012.

CBI had registered a case on August 10, 2015, and took over investigation of crime number 06/2015 registered at STF police station in Bhopal.

In 2017, the central agency filed a chargesheet against nine accused, including candidates, impersonators and middlemen, in a Bhopal court.

Special Judge, Vyapam cases, has now sentenced candidates Aneka Ram, Nar Singh and

Giriraj

and impersonators Raju Kumar and

Naval Kumar

to undergo seven years’ rigorous imprisonment and fines. Four of the accused were acquitted.
