Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board has issued an advisory ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, scheduled for Thursday morning. Prayers will be held at the Idgah and select mosques across the city.The Board has urged worshippers not to offer prayers on public roads. It directed that animal sacrifices over the three festival days be carried out only at designated sites, strictly prohibiting the slaughter of banned animals.The advisory further asked the community to avoid circulating videos or audio recordings of sacrifices on social media. It mandated that sacrifice sites be enclosed with walls or tin sheds and disinfectants and medicines be used to maintain hygiene.Waqf Mutawallis and mosque committees have been instructed to ensure compliance and raise public awareness of the guidelines.Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has set up 43 temporary sacrifice sites across the city for Eid-ul-Adha, All India Muslim Festivals Committee president Ahmed Shahmeeri Khurram announced.Sacrifices will be carried out at these sites between May 28 and May 30. Officials said arrangements for cleanliness, sanitation, waste disposal and security have been put in place.Eid prayers will begin at the Idgah at 6:30 AM on Thursday.
The second Namaz congregation is scheduled at Taj-ul-Masajid at 6:45 AM, followed by Jama Masjid at 7:00 AM, Moti Masjid at 7:15 AM and Masjid Rabbani in the Press Complex at 9:00 AM.Prayers will also be held at Masjid Munawwar in Rajiv Colony, Karond, at 7:00 AM
