JABALPUR: A habitual offender was murdered by a tea stall owner in Jabalpur over a petty dispute related to payment for tea. The incident took place in Ghazi Nagar locality of the city.
Gohalpur police station in-charge, Vijay Tiwari said, “Muqaddar, 20, used to run a tea stall in Ghazi Nagar area. A habitual offender, Rafi alias Rasiya, 30, used to frequent his tea stall but he would not pay for tea.

On Tuesday night, Rafi came to the tea stall in an inebriated condition and had tea and snacks. He did not pay and when the stall owner asked for money, he abused him and also slapped him two-three times.”
“Thereafter Rafi took the knife kept at the stall and tried to attack, Muqaddar but he snatched the knife and attacked Rafi. A case was registered and accused has been arrested. The deceased was wanted in at least 10 cases at Gohalpur police station,” Tiwari said.
