Discom seizes e-auto in Jbp over power theft

In an unusual crackdown, the MP Power Discom (Eastern) seized half-a-dozen e-autos in Jabalpur over alleged power theft, marking what officials described as a rare instance of a power utility taking such action and producing the vehicles in court. A discom team found multiple e-rickshaws being charged from an illegal connection at a house in the Omti police station area. Discom imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on the owners and raised a bill of Rs 6.66 lakh, the seized vehicles were later produced before the court. TNN
