Bhopal: Panic began to spread among consumers due to the non-availability of online booking for domestic LPG cylinders, leading to long queues at gas agencies. In view of the situation, senior police officials directed all SHOs to coordinate with gas agency operators in their respective jurisdictions and advise them to inform the police immediately in case of any dispute or excessive crowding.
Police patrol teams were directed to regularly visit gas agencies and storage godowns where consumers are gathering in long queues to book and collect domestic LPG cylinders.

ACP (Nishatpura) Akshay Choudhary said that SHOs were asked to coordinate with gas agency operators in their respective areas and immediately alert police if any disturbance occurs during the distribution process. He added that so far, no complaints of any dispute or disruption were reported at any agency.
ACP Choudhary said that bike patrol and Dial-112 FRVs are instructed to conduct regular patrolling at gas agencies.
