Heritage foods opens new ice cream manufacturing facility in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Heritage Foods Limited on Friday opened its new greenfield ice cream manufacturing facility at Shamirpet on the outskirts of Hyderabad, as it steps up expansion in the fast-growing value-added dairy segment. The company said the plant has an installed production capacity of about 24 million litres per annum and was built to support future demand. The facility is equipped with automated production systems and advanced quality control infrastructure aimed at improving efficiency and ensuring consistent product quality. Heritage Foods said its ice cream business currently generates around ₹100 crore in annual revenue. With the new plant, the company expects to strengthen its ability to scale the category up to 5 times over the next 7 to 8 years. Heritage Foods Vice-Chairperson and Managing Director N Bhuvaneswari said the commissioning marks an important milestone in the company’s growth journey and will help Heritage expand operations, launch innovative products, and deepen its presence in key markets across South and Western India.
