Bhopal: Three bike-borne accused allegedly assaulted a 17-year-old youth, a student of class 11, while he was taking a stroll outside his home in Bag Sewania locality late on Monday night and fled after snatching his mobile phone. The accused were known to the victim and he requested them to return his mobile phone but when they did not return it, he approached Bag Sewania police who said a loot case has been registered against the accused and arrested the prime accused. Search is on to nab his two accomplices, police said.
Investigation officer ASI GP Joshi said that the complainant Nakul Sharma, 17, a resident of Amrai Parisar in Bag Sewania, is a student of class 11 while his father works as a security guard. He stated in his complaint that on Monday night around 11.30pm, he was walking outside his home while surfing the net on his smartphone. At the same time, three bike-borne accused including Krishna Giri, 19, Sourabh Rajak and Santosh Chouhan, all residents of Bag Sewania, reached the spot on their bike and started assaulting him. They snatched his mobile phone and fled the spot.
ASI Joshi said that Nakul was terrified after the incident. He did not reveal the incident to his family members and as the accused were known to him, he requested them to return his phone. When they did not return his mobile phone and switched it off, he approached Bag Sewania police on Tuesday to lodge a complaint. Acting on his complaint police arrested the prime accused Krishna Giri and recovered the robbed mobile phone. Search was on to nab his accomplices.
