Jabalpur: The body of the third teenager who drowned in the Bargi canal in Jabalpur was recovered on Friday, nearly 24 hours after three girls were swept away while making reels during a wedding outing.
The incident occurred in Salivada village on April 23 when four girls went to the canal. Police said one slipped into deep water while bathing and filming videos. Two others jumped in to rescue her but were also swept away. One girl managed to swim to safety.
SDRF teams and local divers launched a search operation, recovering two bodies on Thursday. The third victim, 17-year-old Srishti Patel alias Tannu, was found about 500 metres from the spot. TNN
