35-yr-old man dies in Katara Hills hit-&-run

Bhopal: In a hit-and-run case reported on Rapadia Bypass in Katara Hills, a speeding unidentified vehicle rammed a bike-borne 35-year-old man and crushed him under the wheels. The head of the deceased was severed and he died on the spot. The unidentified errant vehicle driver then fled the spot along with his vehicle. Katara Hills police said that a case has been registered. Investigation officer ASI Raghavendra Singh said that deceased Yogesh Sahu, a resident of Bilkhiria was a farmer. He has a minor daughter and a son. His brother-in-law resides at Indra Prastha Colony in Katara Hills and runs a shop. Yogesh’s children had come to his brother-in-law’s home on Sunday morning. In the evening, he was going from Bilkhiria to Katara Hills to pick them up. When he reached Rapadia Jod on the Bypass Road in front of a dhaba around 9pm, the speeding vehicle hit his bike from behind. Yogesh fell on the road due to the collision and the errant vehicle driver ran his vehicle over him. Yogesh’s head was severed from his body killing him on the spot. Katara Hills police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem and said that further investigation is on.
