22-year-old killed, 2 injured in hit-&-run, no CCTV installed at spot in Piplani area

Bhopal: A 22-year-old youth was killed while two of his friends were seriously injured after an unidentified vehicle allegedly hit their scooter in Piplani area on Wednesday night. The incident occurred near the turn of the 60 Quarters slum on SOS Road in Khajuri Kalan. Cops have filed a case.Notably, there are no CCTV cameras installed near the accident spot, making it challenging to identify the offending vehicle.According to family members, they received information that three youths were lying injured by the roadside. They rushed to the spot and took all three, who were unconscious, to different hospitals. After examination, doctors declared one of them dead. Police said that when they reached the spot, no vehicle was found. Locals informed that an unknown vehicle had hit the scooter and fled the scene.The deceased was identified as Abhishek Simeria, 22, a resident of the 60 Quarters slum, who worked in a private job. On Wednesday night around 9:30 pm, he went out on a scooter with his friends for an outing.
