21 MP cops get police medals

Bhopal: Four MP police personnel were selected for the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and 17 for the Police Medal for Meritorious Service. The announcement was made by the Union govt on the eve of Independence Day. The medals will be conferred on Aug 15.Those named for the distinguished service medal are ADG Yogesh Deshmukh, ADG Rakesh Gupta, constable Devendra Kumar Kaushal and head constable Walter Henry Ekka.The Meritorious Service Medal will be awarded to DCP Seema Alawa; DIGs Dharmendra Singh Bhadoria and Vijay Kumar Khatri; AIG Ashish Khare; ASPs Neeraj Pandey and Rupesh Kumar Dwivedi; SP Rajesh Sahay; DSPs Dinesh Kumar Singh, Virendra Singh and Alridge Vincent Singh; Inspectors Praveen Pawar, Kunjesh Srivastava, Manoj Kumar Dubey and Maneta Rai; ASIs Rajendra Kumar Dubey and Ashok Rao Sawant; and Head Constable Kalyan Singh.DGP Kailash Makwana congratulated the awardees.
