2 minors raped in city, accused on the run

BHOPAL: Two minors, including a student of class VII were abducted and raped in separate incidents. The cases were registered in Misrod and Bairagarh police stations of the city on Thursday.
Accused in both the incidents are on the run, police added.
In Misrod, Police said a 14-year-old girl residing in a dairy farm, was abducted by a youth, Suraj Thakur, 24, on March 29 when she had gone to appear in examination.
The accused who also worked in the same dairy farm where the minor’s parents were employed, took the minor to Jabalpur and raped her for four days.
Her parents had also lodged a missing persons report here, but before police could track him, the accused left the girl back in Bhopal and escaped.Similarly, in Bairagarh a 17-year-old girl was abducted by a youth in an auto-rickshaw in front of her house on April 2. Police said accused Guddu took the girl to a hotel in old city for the night, raped her and later left her home.
The minor resides with her grandparents who had already decided to get her married to Guddu.
Ironically, when the accused came to drop her after raping her, he told her that they would marry on April 20 and warned her not to reveal about the matter to her grandparents.
But the girl’s grandparents had already reported about her disappearance to the police by then, police said, adding a rape case was registered against the accused based on the girl’s statement.
