Bhopal: In an abduction and molestation case reported in the Berasia area, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly abducted by two 25-year-old men past midnight on Monday.
One of the accused took her to a nearby room where his accomplice was waiting, and they molested her in the locked room.

As the girl raised an alarm for help, her family members rushed out and a violent confrontation took place. The family members thrashed one of the alleged kidnappers, and he sustained severe injuries. According to the police, the incident occurred at approximately 2am on Monday when the minor, a 16-year-old girl, a Class 8 dropout, stepped outside her house to go to the bathroom.
A neighbour allegedly intercepted her, seized her by force, and dragged her to a nearby room belonging to his accomplice.
The two men reportedly locked the girl inside the room and began subjecting her to indecent acts. When she resisted their advances, the accused allegedly targeted her with caste-based slurs and verbal abuse.
The survivor's screams for help alerted her family members, who rushed to the scene. While one of the accused managed to evade capture and fled the spot, the family successfully intercepted and nabbed the second man.
Police registered counter-cases in connection with the incident. Based on the girl's complaint, a case was registered against the two under BNS, the POCSO Act, and the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
