The Karnataka cabinet on Wednesday decided to give a three-month extension to chief secretary Arvind Jadhav who was due to retire on June 30.

Bengaluru: The Karnataka cabinet on Wednesday decided to give a three-month extension to chief secretary Arvind Jadhav who was due to retire on June 30.
He is the second chief secretary in the Siddaramaiah government to be given an extension after Kaushik Mukherjee. Additional chief secretary K Ratnaprabha is tipped to be Jadhav's successor.
A 1978 batch IAS officer, Jadhav is a native of Uttar Pradesh of Marathi origin.
