Suresh Raj, who was riding a Hero Honda Splendor (TN 28-Q-5588) at high speed, rammed into it. The bikers fell down and a speeding Hyundai Accent (KA 19-p-7299) ran over them," police said.While Suresh died on the spot, Jaya Prakash was declared brought dead at Vaidehi Hospital. Suresh was as a technical assistant with Volvo and Jaya Prakash owned Digvijay Automobiles in Electronic City, police said.Their families will arrive from Salem by night, police said. "Suresh was working with Volvo for the past few months and regularly visited Jaya Prakash's automobile shop. They were heading to the shop when the accident happened," police said. The car driver abandoned the vehicle and fled, police added.Around 2pm on Bellary Road, Yelahanka, an unidentified vehicle hit a motorcycle, killing the rider and injuring his pillion rider near Kogilu Junction. The victim was identified as H Jagannath, 26, a resident of Tindlu in Vidyaranyapura and private company employee. The pillion rider, who the police identified as Harish, has been shifted to a private hospital, police said."Only Harish can tell us about the accident and the vehicle which caused it. Doctors have asked us to take his statement later at night," Yelahanka traffic police said.
