BANGALORE: If you want to know about the rainwater harvesting methods, head to Sir M Visvesvaraya rainwater harvesting theme park at Jayanagar from this Ugadi. The formal inauguration of the park was held on Monday.
"The park will be functional from April 4. There are a few works to be completed. Rainwater harvesting is a very simple process and everyone has to implement it," BWSSB chairman P B Ramamurthy said.

Built at a cost of Rs 3 crore, the park will have 27 different methods of rainwater harvesting, an auditorium, 70-seater amphitheatre where cultural programmes will be conducted, rainwater filters and other materials, books related to rainwater harvesting and help desk. Besides, experts will be invited to talk on the subject every Friday.

After inaugurating the theme park, Ananth Kumar, MP, said that rainwater harvesting methods should be adopted in vacant sites and roads and also drains that percolate water at the same place.
Home minister R Ashoka suggested that BWSSB establish a theme park in Banashankari park too.
