Teshub, Neeti win

Bengaluru: Teshub Dinesh and Neeti Agrawal of Checkmate claimed the U-15 boys and girls singles title at the State ranking table tennis tournament here on Saturday. Teshub was in fine form against academy-mate Siddhant Vasan, defeating him 11-7, 11-7, 11-9, 11-6 in the final.
Among girls, Neeti was stretched by Ayushi B Godse of Belagavi. Having won the first game, Neeti saw Ayushi claim the next two to take a slender lead.Neeti bounced back to win the fourth and fifth games but Ayushi levelled the scores again at 3-3. The decider was keenly fought before Neeti prevailed 11-3, 6-11, 8-11, 11-9, 11-6, 9-11, 16-14.
