Student murdered near college in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: Two bike-borne persons murdered a 17-year-old college student a few metres from his college at Manjunathanagar, near Basaveshwaranagar, on Monday.

Police identified the deceased as Sohail, a resident of Basaveshwaranagar and I PU student.

The miscreants sped away from the spot after the attack even as Sohail’s collegemates looked on. DCP (west) Laxman B Nimbargi said the miscreants attacked Sohail 50 metres from his college around 2.40pm when he was returning home. He sustained injuries on his thigh and left hand. Passersby rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he breathed his last at 4.30pm.

Multiple teams have been formed to nab the killers.
