Bengaluru: A Tamil Nadu-based builder who allegedly employed the services of a sex worker was cheated by the woman who fled with valuables from a star hotel on Old Airport Road last Saturday.
The builder, Rajan, has filed a complaint with Jeevan Bima Nagar police, alleging that a sex worker he and his friend had engaged fled with a
gold
chain and other ornaments.
Police said two builders Vasant and Ranjan, both from
Tamil Nadu, had come to the city after clinching a land deal in Madikeri. During their stay in the hotel, one of them invited a sex worker from Hyderabad.
After inviting her over, the two men stepped out for a round of drinks around 8.30pm. On returning they found the woman and their valuables missing. Two days later, on Monday, the duo filed a police complaint. Police said they have procured CCTV footage from the hotel and have rushed a team to Hyderabad to nail the suspect.
Security guard ends life
Bengaluru: A 30-year-old security guard was found dead in a vacant land in Yamalur, east Bengaluru, on Thursday night.
According to police, Paramesh, a resident of Yamalur, got drunk on Thursday evening and went to the vacant land where he consumed poison.
The incident came to light around 10pm when some passersby noticed dogs howling. On checking, they found Paramesh's body. Cops managed to establish the identity of the dead man with help from locals.
The guard's family members told police Paramesh hadn't come home since Wednesday and they didn't know what led him to take the extreme step.
