bangalore: a real estate agent was kidnapped from his house on sunday night and later found murdered, in basaveshwaranagar police limits on monday morning. old enmity is said to be the motive behind the murder. according to the police, the gang went to the house of the real estate agent, mani, in maruti nagar in kamakshi palya police limits on sunday night, and hacked him to death.
his body was found in a pool of blood with stab wounds on vani vilas road in sanna akki bayalu in basaveshwaranagar. investigations revealed that mani was an accused in a murder case reported in 1998 along with corporator gopalaiah. he was charged with the murder of a local rowdy and political party functionary, prakash. however, the court acquitted mani and gopalaiah eight months ago for lack of evidence. the police suspect that mani''s murder was a revenge killing. four local rowdies have been taken into custody in connection with the murder.
