BANGALORE: The Karnataka State Government Employees Association has demanded that retirement age for employees be raised to 60 years.A representation to this effect was made by the employees to Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and Deputy CM B S Yediyurappa at the state government employees’ conference on Saturday. Association president L Bhyrappa said, “We urge the government to increase retirement age to 60 years like employees in the central government.’’In his address, Kumaraswamy advised employees not to harass people, instead clear files as early as possible.
He also urged them to work in villages in order to ensure effective implementation of government policies at the grassroots level.
