Postcards, Preamble & lots of playtime as Happy Streets comes to Bengaluru’s Nandini Layout

Bengaluru: Residents of Nandini Layout woke up to a vibrant morning of activity as Happy Streets made its debut in the locality Sunday. A meditation session by Heartfulness, followed by yoga and pranayama conducted by Sarvebhavanthu Sukhinah Yoga, marked the start of the programme on III Cross, near Oxford Secondary School. Subsequently, Swingers Dance Inc engaged the participants in a high-energy Zumba and fitness dance session.Meanwhile, visitors got their retro-styled photographs clicked at the Bhima Jewellers stall. Bhima also hosted a crowd quiz with gifts and a lucky draw. Special folk performances like Dollu Kunita enthralled kids and adults alike, with some participants posing for photographs with the artistes in their vibrant attire.Children, in particular, found both fun and learning at the Reclaim Constitution stall, where they received printed copies of the Preamble. The Postcrossing Society of India revived interest in postcard writing by showcasing a variety of postcards and engaging young participants.An art corner by NS Kumbar Art Academy attracted budding artists and introduced them to the Chitrakar International Art Competition. Prashree Art offered a Mandala Art experience, while NeeRav Arts demonstrated the use of Mudgar — an Indian heritage fitness tool.Musical and creative performances by Mic & Melody and World Music Conservatory, and dance performances by Jagan Jagz's Dance Studio, Delight Cultural Dance Academy, and Firoz Dance and Fitness Studio kept the festive spirit alive through the morning.Residents of Nagarabhavi and Nandini Layout said they had a great morning, enjoying games, music, yoga and more with friends and family.
