Bengaluru: Over 300 delegates and 57 experts from across India will come together to debate the disparities in healthcare under the theme Equitable India: All for Health and Wellbeing.
This conference from July 7-9 aims at bringing researchers, practitioners and policymakers under one roof for fact-based critical discussions on the Indian health system and its ongoing reforms, said Institute of Public Health (IPH) director N Devadasan.
Evidence into Public Health Policy is the third such national conference being organized since 2010 by the IPH Bengaluru and Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp. "Even today, in tribal areas at least five out of 100 newborns die before the age of 5. It is high time we came up with research and policies addressing these issues," said Dr Werner Soors, research associate at the Institute of Tropical Medicine.
