:One more person has fallen prey to the fatal attraction of an illicitrelationship. City Crime Branch (CCB) police have cracked the mysterious case ofa charred body found in Andhra Pradesh, and arrested three persons.
On February 28, Agali police in AP found the charred corpse atMadakeshira and registered a case. Around the same time, informants told the CCBsleuths that Shivakumar of Kodigehalli, who was then missing, was suspected tohave been murdered in Kamakshipalya.
However, the body found inKamakshipalya didn't match his description and the CCB began a probe into hiswhereabouts. During the course of investigation, they learned Shivakumar was theone murdered in Madakeshira.
Police said the deceased had an illicitrelationship with a former colleague Priya (name changed), wife of Venkatesh, aresident of Sunkadakatte. The two worked in a garment factory in 2006. Theiracquaintance gave way to love and Priya left Venkatesh to live with Shivakumarin Kodigehalli. They continued this relationship for three years, police added.Venkatesh had no clue about where his wife was.
A few months ago,Priya's brother Harish Kumar, 30, a cab owner and driver from Sunkadakatte,learned about the affair.
He is said to have come to Shivakumar's house with hisfriends and taken Priya away after warning him.Shivakumar pleaded with Priya tocome back to his house, police said.
On February 27, Harish, hisrelative Channegowda, 23, from Nelamangala and Ravi, a painter in Sunkadakatteand hailing from Madakeshira, called up Shivakumar to discuss the issue. Theytook him in Harish's cab to Madakeshira and `allegedly' murdered him there thesame night and burned the body. All three have been arrested.
