Man rapes lover's daughter

madikeri: two incidents of sexual assault have been reported from the district of kodagu. in the first incident, m. chandra, a resident of kirugur, reportedly raped the daughter of bhagya, with whom he had an illicit relationship for the last five years. the 10-year-old girl, afraid of revealing the dark deeds perpetrated on her, later confided in bhagya, her mother, who in turn filed a complaint with the ponnampet police.in the second incident, an attempt to rape a first-year pre-university girl was reportedly made in somwarpet town. the police said the accused, b.n. suresh of somwarpet, drove the girl, who was returning to her bilikoppa home near here after college, to an estate but abandoned her, unnerved at her screams. a case has been filed at the somwarpet police station. robbed of cash: thunga, a resident of the town, was robbed of rs 6,000 in cash, according to the police.
