BENGALURU: She could perhaps have passed off as Bengaluru's richest domestic help if High Grounds police hadn't picked her up.
They recovered from her gold and diamond jewels worth over Rs 25.15 lakh that she had allegedly stolen from two houses in a Vasanthnagar apartment complex in the past three months.
Bhuvaneshwari alias Bhuvana alias Jenny, 30, from Tamil Nadu and a resident of Vasanthnagar IV Cross, had taken a friend's help and allegedly pawned the stolen jewels with a private gold finance company.

The crime came to light after Swathi Komanduri, a resident of the complex, lodged a complaint about her jewels going missing.
Jenny was working in Swathi's house for a couple of years and had earned the family's trust. The couple would give her the apartment key whenever they went out for work. "She made duplicate keys of the almirah in which valuables had been kept, and took away gold and diamond jewels one by one," police said.
On May 2, Swathi noticed that some of her ornaments were missing and complained to police. Police zeroed in on Jenny, who confessed after intense grilling.
"She tried to pledge the jewels with the finance company but couldn't furni8sh identity papers. She then took a friend's help and pledged the jewels. We are trying to find if Jenny was involved in any other offences," police said.
