BANGALORE: It���s time for some fast-paced cricket. Karnataka Premier League, the state���s own version of IPL, will get under way with two matches at the M Chinnaswamy stadium here on Wednesday.
In the first match, Bangalore Rural take on Mangalore United while in the other fixture, Bangalore Brigadiers face Team Belgaum.
Sandwiched between the two ties is a mind-blowing multi-colour laser show and a dance extravaganza with a medley of performances choreographed by the biggest names in the industry.
The theme is cricket, fireworks, music and masti with the catchy KPL anthem starring Puneeth Rajkumar, Shivrajkumar, Yash, Sharmila Mandre, Diganth and Aindrita Ray set to kick off things.
A sound and lights show with fireworks is also on the cards along with live performances by singers MD Pallavi and Avinash Chebbi.
Film stars Tejaswini, Bhavana, Suman Ranganathan and Sudeep are expected to grace the show. Transport minister R Ashoka and sports minister Goolihatti Shekhar will be present at the event.
