Borkar on Wednesday suspending Sadashivnagar police inspector Subramanya and seeking an explanation from DCP (VVIP security) R. Ramesh, DCP (Central) G.B. Chebbi and jurisdictional ACP M.N. Indira.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="">This follows an inquiry by CoD DGP K.R. Sreenivasan, indicting the city police for the breach of security when Chinese premier Wen Jiabao visited the IISc campus. Action will be initiated against the ACP and DCPs after studying their explanation, a top official said.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="">Sources said the CoD DGP who probed the lapse faulted the Sadashivnagar police for not posting enough personnel around the IISc campus, mainly a sky sentry on top of the tower from where Tibetan protester Tenzin Tsundue embarrassed the security forces.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="">Also, Srinivasan is believed to have held a few higher ranking officers guilty of not mandatorily supervising the anti-sabotage checks done by their juniors at the IISc premises. Hence, an explanation has been sought from them, the sources said.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-size:="">Some junior officers said Bangalore has received scores of VVIPs, including the Russian President and the British PM, in the last 18 months and their security was handled with panache.</span><br /></div> </div>
