H D Kumaraswamy sees no need of reverse ‘operation lotus’
BENGALURU: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Tuesday said he doesn't see any need for carrying out reverse ‘operation lotus’ as he was confident that the BJP’s effort to dislodge his government by poaching disgruntled Congress MLAs would not work.
He said he wont react to the claims of BJP that the JD(S)- Congress coalition would fall before the budget presentation scheduled for Friday.
“They are in fools’ paradise. Let them be. I need not react to them,” Kumaraswamy said on the side-lines of Consumer Vigilance Awareness Meet organised by Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM).
Responding to the reports on the claims of the BJP leaders that the rebel Congress MLAs would not attend the budget session, the chief minister said people would get to know that his government is stable once the budget session is commenced.
“The BJP is trying put hurdles for my government. But, my governed is stable and we will give a good budget,” he said.
In oblique reference to the Centre’s direct income scheme for marginal farmers, Kumaraswamy said the state government’s initiative to give free power to agricultural pump sets is much effective in heling farmers than prime minister Narendra Modi’s scheme to doll out Rs 6,000 for farmers owing two hectares of farm land.
He lauded BESCOM’s plans to lay optical fibre communication lines over 6,900 km in the city.
