BANGALORE: Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project promoter
Ashok Kheny has accused former Prime Minister
H D Deve Gowda and family of using the BMIC peripheral road without paying toll.
Deve Gowda's family, including his grandchildren, uses the road for free, Kheny said at a function on Sunday. "If he (Gowda) is against the project, why does he have to use this road, that too without paying toll,'' Kheny asked.
A bitter critic of the project, Gowda has held several protests on this peripheral road demanding that the government scrap it.
What penalty could be imposed on Gowda and family? "God will punish them,'' Kheny said.
Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy said he will react to Kheny's accusations later.
