BANGALORE: JD(S) supremeo
H D Deve Gowda and his son H D Kumaraswamy seem to be still upset with Bangaloreans for rejecting the party during the BBMP elections.
On Sunday, Gowda was at it again; venting ire on Bangaloreans for not favouring his party and virtually cursed them. "You will reap what you sow," he said. Highlighting the government's decision to effect drastic power cuts and subsequently hike the prices of milk and water immediately after the BBMP polls, Gowda sarcastically said the so-called intellectual voters of Bangalore will learn a lesson or two.
He also rued the voters for having never recognized the contribution of the Janata Dal, "for which they will pay a price".
Referring to chief minister B S Yeddyurappa's assurance to bring out a Bill for making provisions for internal reservation, Gowda said he was sure the rural voters (gram panchayat) will not get carried away by such poll gimmicks of the BJP government. "Why does the CM speak such a language only before elections? It's anybody's guess," he added.
